1. About This Policy

CaymanCart is a directory and marketplace for genuine Cayman Islands businesses. This Posting Policy sets out the standards for everything published on the platform — business listings, products, services, deals, events, classifieds, images and reviews.

It applies to every vendor, member and visitor who submits content, and should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

2

2. Who May Post

You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and able to enter a binding contract under Cayman Islands law. Business listings may only be created or claimed by the owner, a director, or an employee or agent with written authority to act for the business.

Where a business is required to hold a trade and business licence, we may ask you to provide it — along with a certificate of incorporation or similar documentation — as part of verification. Listings that cannot be verified may be limited or removed.

3

3. Listing Quality Standards

  • Use the real, registered trading name of the business — not a slogan, keyword list or marketing phrase.
  • Write descriptions in plain English, in your own words, describing what the business actually offers.
  • Keep opening hours, phone numbers, email addresses, websites and locations current.
  • Do not use ALL CAPS titles, excessive punctuation, emoji spam or symbols to attract attention.
  • Do not include unrelated keywords, competitor names or other businesses' brand names in your listing text or tags.
  • Each listing must describe one business, product line or service — do not bundle unrelated offerings into a single entry.
4

4. Photos, Video & Media

  • Upload only images you took yourself or are licensed to use. Do not lift photos from Google, social media, other directories or a competitor's website.
  • Photos must show the actual business, premises, team, products or services being listed.
  • No watermarks, phone numbers, website addresses, prices or promotional text burned into images.
  • No stock photography presented as your own premises or work, and no AI-generated images passed off as real photographs of goods or venues.
  • Obtain consent before publishing recognisable images of other people, and never post photos of children without a parent or guardian's permission.
  • Images must be clear, correctly oriented and free of offensive content.
5

5. Pricing & Descriptions

Prices must be accurate at the time of posting and clearly state the currency (KYD or USD) and whether duty, service charge or gratuity is included. If a price is a starting price, say so.

Deals and discounts must be genuine. Do not inflate a "was" price to make a saving look bigger, advertise a promotion you cannot honour, or run a deal with conditions that are not disclosed in the listing. Bait-and-switch advertising is prohibited.

6

6. Correct Categories & Duplicates

Post in the category that genuinely matches your business. Posting into unrelated categories to gain extra exposure is not permitted.

One business, one listing. Do not create multiple listings for the same business, re-post the same listing to move it up search results, or use several accounts to multiply your presence. Businesses with genuinely separate physical locations may create one listing per location.

7

7. Prohibited Items & Services

The following may never be listed or promoted on CaymanCart:

  • Adult services, adult products, escort services or sexually explicit content.
  • Illegal drugs, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and unapproved vaping or tobacco sales to minors.
  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and offensive or prohibited weapons.
  • Counterfeit, replica, pirated, smuggled or stolen goods, including copied media and unauthorised software.
  • Live animals, protected wildlife, turtle products, coral, conch or other restricted marine species.
  • Pyramid schemes, chain letters, matrix programmes, multi-level marketing recruitment and "work from home" income guarantees.
  • Human remains, body parts, prescription medicines, and medical claims to cure or treat disease.
  • Government documents, identity documents, and hacking or surveillance tools.
  • Content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, violent or otherwise unlawful.
8

8. Restricted & Regulated Listings

Some categories are permitted but require the correct licences and disclosures under Cayman Islands law. These include alcohol sales, food handling and catering, watersports and dive operations, taxis and tour transport, real estate, financial and insurance services, childcare and camps, healthcare and beauty treatments, firearms retailing by licensed dealers, and rental accommodation.

By listing in these categories you confirm you hold all required permits, licences and insurance, and you agree to produce evidence on request. We may remove listings where documentation is not provided.

9

9. Contact Details & Off-Platform Deals

You may include your own business contact details in the fields provided. Do not publish other people's personal contact information, and do not use listings to collect personal data from users for unrelated purposes.

Where CaymanCart provides paid features such as memberships or promoted placements, you may not use listings, messages or reviews to redirect users to a competing directory or to avoid platform fees.

10

10. Reviews & Vendor Responses

  • Only post a review if you genuinely used the business. Reviews should describe your own first-hand experience.
  • Never write, buy, sell, incentivise or exchange reviews, and never review your own business or a direct competitor.
  • Reviews must not contain abuse, threats, personal data, allegations of criminal conduct presented as fact, or content unrelated to the business.
  • Vendors may respond publicly to reviews, but must remain professional and must never disclose a customer's personal details or retaliate.
  • We may remove reviews that breach these rules, and we may label verified reviews where we can confirm a genuine transaction or visit.
11

11. Copyright & Ownership of Content

You must own, or have permission to use, everything you post. By posting content you grant CaymanCart a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, display, resize, adapt for layout and promote that content in connection with the platform and its marketing.

If you believe content on CaymanCart infringes your rights, contact us with details of the listing, the material concerned and proof of ownership, and we will investigate promptly.

12

12. Scraping, Copying & Bulk Posting

Copying listings, reviews, images, descriptions or business data from CaymanCart — by hand or by any automated means such as bots, crawlers, spiders, scrapers, extraction tools or scripts — is strictly prohibited. So is mirroring, framing, republishing or creating a derivative database from our content.

Equally, do not import or scrape content from other directories, websites or social pages and post it to CaymanCart as your own. Automated, bulk or machine-generated posting is not permitted without our prior written authorisation.

13

13. Moderation & Enforcement

CaymanCart reviews listings before and after publication. We may, at our discretion and without prior notice:

  • Edit or re-categorise a listing to meet these standards.
  • Hide, unpublish or permanently remove content.
  • Remove reviews, images or promotional claims.
  • Require verification documents before restoring a listing.
  • Suspend, limit or terminate an account, including all of its listings.
  • Report unlawful activity to the relevant Cayman Islands authorities.

Removal for a breach of this policy does not entitle you to a refund of membership or listing fees.

14

14. Reporting a Listing

If you see a listing or review that breaks these rules, please tell us. Use the report option on the listing or email support@caymancart.com with the listing name, a link and a short description of the problem. Reports are treated confidentially and we aim to respond within two business days.

15

15. Appeals

If your listing or account has been actioned and you believe we made a mistake, reply to the notification email or contact us within thirty (30) days. Include any evidence — licences, ownership proof or corrected content — and a member of the team will review the decision.

16

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Posting Policy as the platform and local regulations evolve. The "last updated" date shows when it was last revised, and continued posting after a change means you accept the updated rules.
